If you do, you need to address them in their own language.
With a good translation, you can reach anyone who
speaks another language and lives in a different culture
with your sales message, your ideas, ambitions and experiences.
Bad translations do more
harm than good!
Translations enable companies to trade with each
other, to win new clients in markets that otherwise
wouldn't be accessible for them, and expand. Translations
build bridges in the global village that our world is
today.
If you only speak your
own language well, you need a translation.
And a good one at that. Good translations
are understood by the reader as if they were original
text. That often involves using a local idiom and
phraseology which is generally familiar and comfortable
- this builds trust and creates the 'He-Is-One-Of-Us'
feeling which we react to most easily.
Good text opens doors. Your written message will
either encourage or discourage a sale, and at the
end of the day it determines whether you are taken seriously
as a professional.
Sometimes I even get original
text that isn't good!
That's when the copywriter in me pops up and I suggest
to re-write the source text to better reflect
what was meant to be said in the first place.
