"The

of discovery consists not
in seeking

but in having

Introductions ... please meet :
Some great people who help me grow.
You, too can benefit from their work !
On this page I want to acknowledge some
of the most important people who help me, and thousands
of others, to learn and grow.
They all have a website, weblog and eNewsletter on personal
growth and self development, or written books - I highly
recommend that you have a look at what they offer.
Again, I have a personal experience with all of their work
and I often pass on snippets to you in COMPASS to alert
and remind you of their most relevant publications at certain
times.

Steve Pavlina, in his own words, is perhaps the most
intensely growth-oriented individual you will ever meet.
The goal of his
website with the subtitle Personal Development
for Smart People is to help you achieve outstanding
effectiveness while maintaining internal balance, where
your thoughts, feelings, actions, and skills are all working
together to create the life you truly desire. What could
be more descriptive and inspiring ?
Decide for yourself and join me in also bookmarking
his blog in your browser - personally, I am RSS-feeding
it into My Yahoo! homepage so that I can check on his contributions
easily every day.

Robert Ringer describes his opinions
as "A Voice of Sanity in an Insane World".
I have been reading his eNewsletters for quite a while now
and in my view he is right on both counts : the world we
have created is insane in many repects, and voices of sanity
are needed - the more the better.
Robert Ringer is a highly acclaimed
American speaker and author of #1 best-selling motivational
books - one of them is entitled "To Be or Not to Be
Intimidated". "His astute observations of how
the world works have helped millions of salespeople, entrepreneurs,
business owners, corporate executives, and individuals in
all walks of life to achieve their personal and professional
goals."
That's exactly the kind of stuff
I like - controversial at times, but an honest and straight
forward opinion of a man who is not afraid to step on some
toes occasionally. Very well informed, on the ball and intelligent
writing that really makes a difference.
If you want to read something refreshingly
different to adjust your perspective on a regular basis,
go to his Article
Archive and subscribe to his eNewsletter on any
of his pages.

When we are not aware of who we are, we move through
life on auto-pilot. We live by habit, reacting unconsciously
to people and events around us. We generally let others
tell us what to do.
When we discover how to be aware and conscious, we take
charge. We live with purpose and meaning. We open to the
gifts in every moment. We uncover our innate inner wisdom
- the imagination, creativity and intuition that already
lie inside us!
I have taken these two paragraphs straight from John and
Patrice Robson's HigherAwareness.com
website because they reflect my sentiments exactly.
There is much to discover about John and Patrice's work:
they live in Edmonton/Canada, have vast experience in self
improvement and are deeply committed to help people change. The
first thing I did after reading their home page is take
the KNOW YOURSELF QUIZ : it is amazing what you can find
out about yourself by just answering a few well directed
questions!
This will lead you organically to one or more of their
18 workbooks and programs best suited for your situation
with plenty of tools, references and email support : you
are never left alone with your questions.
Please check it out and see whether this can help you get
ahead - I think there is something for everybody.

Sonia Choquette is the author of eight best-selling books,
including 'Diary of a Psychic' and 'Trust Your Vibes'. In
her mission statement she says : "As a practicing
psychic and spiritual teacher for over 32 years, I've spent
most of my life helping people on a psychic level to realize
that we're all spiritual beings endowed with six, not five
senses, and, even more important, that we need that sixth
sense, our psychic sense, to fulfill our life's purpose
and be peaceful and happy."
If you need help, it is always within reach, just ask for
it. This was driven home to us again in July 2006 when we
attended her fascinating and exciting workshop in Cape Town
- "Wake Up Your Spirit and Connect to Your Guides".
It gave us four hours of exceptional insight.
Sonia lives in Chicago and is also a storyteller, vibrational
healer, and six-sensory spiritual teacher in international
demand for her guidance, wisdom, and capacity to heal the
soul.
Unlike most of us, Sonia grew up in a family where the
ability to connect to our unseen help was normal - where
acting on the vibes of the moment is the sensible thing
to do, where not listening to your feelings in all situations
is just plain stupid. She never lost the connection to her
full human capacities.
Please go to Sonia
Choquette's website and have a look around, there
is so much to discover that I can't mention it all here
- don't leave out her section on Psychic
University Online Courses, just listen to one of
her audio clips in the sample lesson offered - it will open
your eyes, and your mind.

If there is one author who has influenced my own personal
growth the most, it is Dr.
Wayne Dyer. If there is one autograph that I treasure
it is his, and his wife Marceline's, in his book "Wisdom
of the Ages" - we bought it on 19 February 2000 when
we met them in Cape Town at one of his lectures.
Dr. Wayne W. Dyer, affectionately called the father
of motivation by his fans, is one of the most widely
known and respected people in the field of self-empowerment.
He became a well-known author with his bestselling book
'Your Erroneous Zones', and has gone on to write many other
self-help classics, including 'Meditations for Manifesting',
'Staying on the Path', 'Your Sacred Self', 'Wisdom of the
Ages', and especially 'Youll See It When You Believe
It'.
I have read most of them and on my
Books page you'll find an almost complete collection
that will get you started.
Despite his childhood spent in orphanages and foster homes,
Dr. Dyer, who has a doctorate in counseling psychotherapy,
has overcome many obstacles to make his dreams come true.
Today he spends much of his time showing others how to
do the same. His latest titles include: 'Getting in the
Gap' and '10 Secrets for Success and Inner Peace'. Please
go to his
website and find out more about him and his marvellous
work.
